Job description

Department: People & Culture

Reports to: Director, Total Rewards

Location: North Vancouver, BC or Hybrid/Remote

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Senior Manager, Compensation Programs, you are a key architect of our global compensation strategy and enabler of our vision to be an employer of choice. You’ll lead the evolution, governance, and execution of global compensation programs that reflect our values, align with business goals, and elevate the employee experience. You’ll be a strategic partner and trusted advisor on the Total Rewards team, driving scalable solutions that support our growth as a global organization. In this role, you’ll blend strategic thinking with operational execution across key areas—job architecture, incentive programs, pay equity and transparency, compensation governance, and executive and equity compensation. You’ll partner cross-functionally across the business, including People & Culture, Finance, and senior leaders, to ensure our compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and forward-looking—balancing global consistency with local relevance.

While the role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office, this role is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team:

The People & Culture Total Rewards team operates in strategic partnership with the business to design and deliver total rewards programs that attract and retain world-class talent. We seek to drive greater alignment to our purpose through continued evolution of our total practices, while fostering a culture of belonging that generates high-performance, strength-based teams, and values-based leadership.

If you were in the Senior Manager, Compensation Programs now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Partnering with the People Systems, Analytics and Operations team to optimize and automate global compensation processes, including bonus and incentive programs, to support scalability and operational efficiency across global markets
  • Overseeing the delivery and continuous improvement of annual compensation cycles, including merit reviews, annual bonuses, and long-term incentives (LTI)
  • Translating compensation strategy into action by collaborating with P&C Business Partners, Finance, and regional HR teams
  • Supporting communication and change management efforts to ensure clear understanding and consistent adoption of compensation programs across the business
  • Overseeing the ongoing development and governance of our global job architecture framework, in close partnership with Talent Management
  • Maintaining framework integrity through regular job audits and job evaluation processes with Talent and P&C Business Partners
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and policy owner for global compensation governance, including pay transparency, pay equity and regulatory compliance.
  • Leading compensation governance initiatives, including pay equity and transparency reviews, while ensuring compliance with global legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Managing internal and external compensation reporting related to governance, disclosure, and compliance standards
  • Supporting the administration of global equity plans, including award tracking, reporting, and employee inquiries
  • Leading executive compensation programs, including market assessments and offer development for senior leaders
  • Advising executives and People & Culture leaders on complex compensation matters, including executive pay, equity plans, and incentive structures.

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Executing our multi-year global compensation strategy in collaboration with FP&A, business leaders, and the P&C Business Partner team to align rewards with evolving organizational goals.
  • Implementing innovative compensation solutions that reinforce our total rewards philosophy and drive measurable improvements in employee engagement and retention.
  • Leading the transformation of our global retail bonus program delivery, partnering with People Technology, Analytics, and Operations and cross-functional partners to streamline operations and drive consistency at scale.

Are you our next Senior Manager, Compensation Programs?

  • You have 8+ years of related, progressive compensation experience, ideally within a global organization
  • You hold a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or equivalent credentials/experience
  • You have strong knowledge of compensation strategy, pay equity, job evaluation, and compliance standards
  • You have experience leading global compensation programs, such as job architecture frameworks, incentive plan design, and governance initiatives
  • You have advanced expertise in compensation tools, systems and methodologies, including proficiency in Excel and HRIS platforms
  • You are highly proficient in Excel and skilled at building compelling PowerPoint presentations for leadership
  • You have strong leadership and people management capabilities with experience leading a high-performing team
  • You have proven experience in advising and influencing cross-functional partners in a matrixed environment
  • You have advanced project management capabilities and a track record of driving complex cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution
  • You are highly adaptable and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it
