Job description

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Senior Manager, People Analytics and Automation, you will help lead the next stage of People Analytics at Arc’teryx. You’ll co-design and deliver a multi-year analytics and automation roadmap, partner on the development of our People Data Lake, and embed analytics into decision-making across the People & Culture (P&C) function.

This role is both strategic and hands-on: you will establish the foundations by building dashboards, models, and automation solutions, while also shaping the long-term roadmap and influencing leaders across the business.

Your work will improve how we access, analyze, and act on data-scaling our ability to deliver timely insights, streamlining key P&C processes, and enabling our teams to focus on higher-value work. This is a unique opportunity to shape how analytics and automation evolve within P&C, while partnering closely with Technology and Finance to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

This role is based in our North Vancouver office with hybrid flexibility. Candidates are expected to regularly support in-office collaboration.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Global People Operations team provides Total Rewards, People Systems, People Analytics, People Operations, and Policy and Compliance services. We play a critical role in scaling the People and Culture function and enabling the business. We partner across all areas to evolve people practices and deliver solutions that support our growing, global organization.

If you were a Senior Manager, People Analytics and Automation, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • People Analytics Strategy and Roadmap

  • Co-developing and executing the long-term strategy and roadmap for People Analytics, balancing foundational infrastructure with advanced capabilities

  • Defining requirements and partnering with Technology on the design, approval, and delivery of scalable analytics infrastructure (e.g. People Data Lake) to enable secure, high-quality analytics and automation

  • Embedding analytics into Core P&C processes to enable better visibility and decision-making

  • Automation Enablement

  • Partnering with P&C leaders to identify and automate high-value processes (e.g. compensation workflows, talent processes, analytics delivery)

  • Supporting adoption of predictive and prescriptive analytics that inform and influence business outcomes

  • Championing P&C automation best practices while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance

  • Data Governance, Quality, and Security

  • Establishing data governance frameworks in partnership with Technology to ensure accuracy, consistency, privacy, and compliance with regulations and best practices

  • Monitoring analytics delivery to ensure insights are trusted, reliable and actionable for leaders

  • Team Leadership

  • Leading and mentoring a team of People Data Analysts, developing skills in analytics, data science, and automation

  • Embedding a culture of data-driven decision-making across P&C and the business

  • Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Building strong relationships across P&C, Finance, Technology, Amer Sports and senior business leaders to ensure adoption, trust, and measurable impact

  • Championing collaboration and knowledge-sharing across global teams (e.g., Amer Sports, other brands, etc.)

  • Designing and delivering scalable global analytics and automation solutions that flex to regional needs, ensuring consistency while enabling local adoption

  • Innovation & Capability Building

  • Staying informed on emerging trends in analytics, HR automation, and AI (including RPA)

  • Promoting data literacy and adoption of analytics and automation across P&C and the business to maximize ROI and impact

  • Identifying and operationalizing best practices for HR automation to drive scale and efficiency

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Developing and socializing a 3-year analytics and automation strategy
  • Partnering with Technology and Executives to implement the People Data Lake
  • Supporting the successful delivery of an HCM reimplementation
  • Driving measurable efficiencies and scalability through automation across P&C processes

Are you our next Senior Manager, People Analytics and Automation?

  • You have 7+ years in data, analytics, or automation, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity
  • You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, HR), or equivalent experience
  • You bring HR domain expertise (compensation, talent management, workforce planning, employee experience) to shape analytics solutions that align to business needs.

Technical & Analytical Expertise

  • You have hands-on ability to extract, transform, and analyze data using SQL, Python/R, and Power BI (or similar)
  • You have experience supervising applied statistical analysis and dashboard design, from prototype to production-ready solutions
  • You have a proven track record of embedding advanced analytics (predictive/prescriptive models, automation) into P&C and business processes.
  • You have the ability to identify, design, and implement automation opportunities in P&C using Python, Power Automate, or RPA
  • You have experience in data engineering to support cloud-based architecture (e.g., Azure, Databricks)

Leadership & Strategic Impact

  • You have experience building an analytics function from the ground up, including establishing data governance, infrastructure requirements, and team capabilities
  • You can balance hands-on analytics with shaping long-term strategy and adoption
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills: able to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that influence business strategy and decision-making
  • You build strong partnerships with P&C and business leaders to identify opportunities where data informs workforce planning and strategy.
  • You have proven ability to deliver results in complex, fast-paced environments with a strong bias for action.
