Job description

Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.

We have partnered with 1,500+ companies in the US & UK to deliver a new kind of learning that’s transforming today’s workforce.

Multiverse apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage and focus on building critical AI, data, and tech skills. Multiverse learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.

In June 2022, Multiverse announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes the company the UK’s first EdTech unicorn.

But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees globally, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output. Join Multiverse and power our mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to lead the charge on quality and regulatory excellence, owning our quality strategy and developing the systems that underpin world-class learning experiences. You’ll work across teams to drive continuous improvement, oversee our inspection and audit readiness, and partner with regulators like Ofsted and the DfE. With a focus on data-led decision-making, DEI, and strategic impact, you’ll shape how quality is measured and delivered at scale—while building a high-performing team and influencing the direction of a mission-driven business on a global stage.

  • Monitor and evaluate the regulatory quality of all provisions at Multiverse, applying and iterating in-house frameworks that are informed by regulatory bodies.

  • Set, review and report progress on the Multiverse Quality Strategy & Oversight Plan

  • Deliver against the reporting requirements of key regulators (e.g., annual self-assessment for Ofsted,) ensuring that these are aligned with Multiverse’s strategic needs and drive continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with the wider Governance Team to ensure our regulatory commitments are fulfilled, including timely data reporting, regular internal review processes, and facilitating internal governance meetings.

  • Drive our funding compliance scrutiny function and governance self-assessments in line with the ITP Financial Handbook obligations to ensure that meaningful recommendations and improvements can be made.

  • Partner with the Data & Insights team to monitor programme quality data, review performance metrics against targets, and identify trends in areas such as apprentice attainment, coach performance, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) factors.

  • Utilise our management information system to develop both regular and ad hoc reports, producing a comprehensive monthly overview of our Governance framework, including communication across critical stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of the continuous improvement cycle, collaborating with stakeholders and business partnering to identify best practices and areas for quality enhancement in programme delivery and learning. To conduct quality assurance activities in line with the Governance framework.

  • Be a key collaborator in the development and implementation of a robust programme review process.

  • Build and develop a strong team that enables other functions to build and deliver strong and robust products, fostering a high-performance culture and run frictionless systems

  • Be the lead and driving force for our audit and inspection readiness planning.

  • Co-own key relationships with our regulators (such as the DfE, Ofsted and OfS) alongside the Head of Governance.

About you:

  • Experience of working within a quality assurance background within education, preferably within apprenticeships

  • Desirable to have an understanding of the Office for Students’ Conditions of registration

  • Have a strong understanding of all regulatory requirements in relation to apprenticeships (such as the Apprenticeship Funding Rules, Apprenticeship Accountability Framework, ITP Financial Handbook and Ofsted inspection frameworks/toolkits)

  • Proven track record in setting up strong internal education audit functions

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Comfortable working with large data sets, analysing and producing reports on such data

  • Strong relationship builder and leadership skills.

  • Strong presentation and chairing skills.

  • Ability to hold cross-functional stakeholders to account on improvement projects

  • Have a strong eye for detail
