About BridgeBio
We founded BridgeBio in 2014 to develop and deliver medicines for genetic diseases and cancers with clear genetic drivers. Currently, over 10,000 conditions caused by single genetic mutations affect millions of people, yet fewer than 50 FDA-approved therapies exist. We are working to change this.
Our approach uses scientific advancements in genome sequencing, molecular biology, electronic medical records, and patient registries to develop medicines that target diseases at their source. We discover novel genetic disease targets, create specific therapies, test them through global clinical development, and deliver products to patients. This includes treatments like acoramidis (Attruby), BBP-418, skeletal dysplasia, and antibody therapeutics.
We operate with a decentralized model, using a network of affiliate companies. This allows us to advance multiple therapies simultaneously by sharing central resources while individual teams focus on specific diseases. This helps us develop drugs faster.
Mission & Values
Our mission is to discover, create, test, and deliver effective medicines to treat patients who suffer from genetic diseases. We operate based on these core values:
- Put patients first: We bridge the gap between business case and scientific possibility for patients with unmet needs.
- Think independently: We encourage rigorous, first-principles thinking.
- Be radically transparent: We consider and test all ideas openly.
- Every minute counts: We use our decentralized model with focused teams to speed up treatment delivery.
- Let science speak: Objective scientific criteria drive our program decisions.
