Job title: Senior Procurement Specialist
Location: Role can be based from any of our Manchester, Leeds or Reading locations (Remote working available)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £45k depending on experience + benefits

Focus of the role:
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be at the forefront of shaping and managing strategic supplier relationships that drive commercial success, operational efficiency, and service excellence. This role bridges procurement, sales enablement, and product lifecycle management—ensuring vendor partnerships are aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Supplier Management
Serve as the primary liaison for key suppliers, managing escalations, negotiations, and long-term collaboration.
Monitor vendor performance using KPIs and scorecards; lead formal reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct quarterly business reviews to align on objectives, resolve issues, and identify growth opportunities.
Partner with Risk and Compliance to ensure supplier engagements meet regulatory and internal standards.
Commercial & Financial Oversight
Negotiate pricing structures, rebates, and promotional terms to secure optimal commercial outcomes.
Manage deal registrations and special bid pricing to support competitive positioning.
Collaborate with Sales to shape pricing strategies and margin analysis for proposals and bids.
Ensure all commercial decisions are aligned with contractual obligations and compliance frameworks.
Product & Portfolio Management
Maintain deep knowledge of vendor offerings, roadmaps, and service capabilities.
Oversee product lifecycle transitions, including end-of-life (EOL) planning and upgrade strategies.
Ensure product documentation, certifications, and training materials are current and accessible.
Compliance & Accreditation
Manage vendor accreditation programs and ensure the business retains required certifications.
Coordinate with Risk and Compliance to align vendor programs with internal policies and external regulations.
Organize training and knowledge-sharing sessions to build internal capability.
Lifecycle & EOL Strategy
Track vendor product lifecycle status and proactively manage EOL transitions.
Collaborate with Sales to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during product transitions.
Ensure EOL plans are executed in line with contractual and compliance requirements.
Reporting & Communication
Deliver regular updates to leadership on vendor performance, commercial metrics, and strategic initiatives.
Communicate vendor changes, product updates, and compliance requirements clearly across the business.
Align all reporting with internal governance and risk frameworks.
Person, Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in vendor or partner management within IT services or technology.
Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen with a focus on value creation.
Experience managing supplier scorecards, compliance frameworks, and accreditation programs.
Familiarity with IT product lifecycles, including EOL transitions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working with risk and compliance teams is highly desirable.
