We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager, AI & Agentic Solutions to lead the creation of innovative, user-facing products at the intersection of AI, agentic systems, and online marketplaces. In this strategic role, you will take 0-to-1 ideas from concept to launch, applying product expertise, technical understanding, and customer insight to shape how emerging technologies transform the way businesses and independent talent connect.

You will collaborate with engineering, design, research, and go-to-market teams to develop agent-based tools, human-in-the-loop systems, and AI-native workflows. Your leadership will guide both near-term execution and the long-term vision for one of Upwork’s most forward-looking product areas. This is an opportunity to experiment with new technologies, test innovative engagement models, and create products that deliver measurable impact for our users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full product lifecycle for AI and agent-based solutions, from discovery and definition to launch, iteration, and scaling.

  • Define and maintain a product roadmap that balances near-term deliverables with long-term innovation.

  • Collaborate with engineering and design to scope, build, and deliver features that meet user needs and business goals.

  • Partner with research and analytics to uncover opportunities, validate concepts, and guide decision-making using data-driven insights.

  • Engage with customers to gather feedback, identify pain points, and translate insights into actionable improvements.

  • Stay current on advancements in AI, machine learning, and agentic systems to assess emerging capabilities.

  • Align and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery against success metrics.

The annual base salary range for this position  is displayed below. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program.

$151,500—$215,500 USD
