Job description
We Breathe Life Into Data
At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease. And we believe that smarter use of data is essential to this mission. That’s why we built the Healthcare Map — the industry’s largest, most complete, precise view of the U.S. healthcare system — by combining de-identified, real-world patient data with innovative algorithms and decades of clinical experience. The Healthcare Map serves as our foundation for a powerful suite of software applications, helping us answer healthcare’s most complex questions for our partners. Across the healthcare ecosystem, we’re helping our clients unlock critical insights to track detailed patient behaviors and treatment patterns, identify gaps in care, address unmet patient needs, and reduce the global burden of disease.
As we pursue these goals, it remains essential to us that we stay grounded in our values: be awesome, seek growth, deliver “wow,” and enjoy the ride. At Komodo, you will be joining a team of ambitious, supportive Dragons with diverse backgrounds but a shared passion to deliver on our mission to reduce the burden of disease — and enjoy the journey along the way.
The Opportunity at Komodo Health
As Senior Product Manager, Data Discovery & Marketplace, you will lead the definition and execution of a new capability within the Komodo platform: a data marketplace and universal search experience that enables users to seamlessly discover, compare, and evaluate Komodo and partner data assets. You will drive the strategy for customers finding the right data for their use case, delivering a solution that helps them make informed, confident decisions.
Depending on your interest and experience, you may also be asked to take on product management of one or more of our platform services.
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…
- Shipped the first version of a data marketplace that allows customers to browse, filter, and compare data assets across Komodo and partners
- Delivered a powerful universal search capability that spans all Komodo data interfaces and surfaces relevant datasets based on customer context and intent
- Created a standardized metadata model to capture and display dataset utility, provenance, usage patterns, and quality signals
- Defined and prioritized a roadmap to scale the marketplace and search functionality across platform modules and partner offerings
- Worked closely with design to test and refine UX for both technical and non-technical users
- Established the go-to-market strategy in partnership with Product Marketing and Data Partnerships to support adoption and partner engagement
- Provided detailed release documentation and internal training to customer-facing teams, ensuring high-quality support and onboarding
- Influenced customer deal cycles by identifying and communicating the value of the marketplace for data exploration and validation
What you bring to Komodo Health:
- Previous experience in product management at a healthcare, lifesciences or digital health company supporting analytics platforms
- Experience working with customers and stakeholders to build and execute a strategic roadmap with clear prioritization
- 8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or data platforms
- Demonstrated ability to ship new zero-to-one products, particularly search or marketplace capabilities that serve technical audiences
- Experience working with healthcare data, including EHR, claims, or real-world evidence datasets
- Deep empathy for data consumers—data scientists, software developers, business analysts—and a clear sense for how to build intuitive discovery tools for them
- Familiarity with modern data and analytics platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Jupyter, Airflow, SQL/Python, etc.
- Strong UX instincts and ability to partner closely with designers to simplify complex data concepts
- Experience working with agile development teams to manage backlogs, write user stories, and define detailed product requirements
- Previous experience building metadata standards, data catalogs, or data discovery tools is a strong plus
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, identifying opportunities, and driving clarity through structure and vision
- Experience working in agile / scrum SDLC teams with engineering and QA to ship features and products.
- Leads from discovery to delivery consistently and correctly prioritizes and adapts timelines. Proven ability to prioritize what can be done vs what should be done. Provides stewardship over competing priorities.
- Able to join client meetings as a product expert with prior experience having full project ownership.
- Effective oral and highly visual written communication skills to bring clarity to complexity and communicate to inform and influence across cross-functional teams and leadership.
