Summary
The Senior Quality Control Engineer role is a remote position for candidates located in Egypt, Morocco, or Lebanon. The role involves ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality requirements by performing various tests, reporting bugs, working collaboratively with teams, designing test cases, documenting project documentation, problem-solving, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience
- Professional certification, such as ISTQB-CTFL ISTQB-CTAL
- Problem-solving skills - QC testers have strong problem-solving skills that allow them to test software, identify bugs, and solve errors
- Familiarity with testing - QC testers are knowledgeable of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end
- Programming - QC testers may use programming languages to write tests as necessary, so they should have experience programming and coding
- Teamwork - working with other groups, QC testers have strong communication skills that allow them to collaborate with others. They communicate problems and coordinate with QC, development, and business groups to ensure products are free of errors
- Able to multi-task, triage issues, react well to changes, work independently or in a team setting in a fast-paced environment
- Hand-on experience with SQL commands
Responsibilities
- Perform Tests (smoke, regression, integration, performance, cross browser, cross platform and responsive testing, API testing, and any needed test per the test plan to confirm the stability of software systems)
- Report Bugs
- Perform Automation (generate automation scripts and research and use tools with the goal of increasing automation)
- Work with Team Members (QC, development, and business groups to complete testing)
- Design Test Case
- Send test results report, after confirming it with QA lead
- Documentation (Building project documentation such as user Manuals)

- Mentors and trains junior quality control engineers on policies and procedures and create tasks for them
- Identifies the root cause of quality problems, and coordinates modifications or other corrective actions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Architecting new automated test strategies and frameworks, in addition to creating, implementing and automating testing in support of software test requirements
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework and automation infrastructure
- Execute and report on planned tests, report and manage defects, regress software fixes for new and existing products
- Assist development with replicating and debugging problems and develop new test automation solutions as needed
