As a Senior Sales Engineer for Unified Endpoint Management at Ivanti, you’ll leverage your technical expertise and customer engagement skills to drive market success. Collaborating closely with sales teams, you’ll deliver impactful solutions, conduct insightful presentations, and build strong relationships with clients across various industries. About The Team

The North American Sales organization at Ivanti are building teams that understand the increasing complexity and sophisticated threats our enterprise customers face daily. Our mission is to adapt and anticipate the disparate needs of the modern workforce to automate the tasks that discover, manage, secure, and service all IT assets.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Collaborate closely with sales representatives to develop tailored UEM solutions addressing customers’ IT management challenges.
  • Lead pre-sales discovery meetings and deliver engaging platform demonstrations to showcase Ivanti’s UEM capabilities.
  • Translate complex customer challenges into effective technical solutions, positioning Ivanti as a trusted partner.
  • Serve as a technical expert throughout the sales process, aligning pre-sales activities with strategic account goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, peers, and partners to facilitate ongoing collaboration.
  • Stay informed on UEM market trends and competitive differentiators to effectively position Ivanti’s offerings.
  • Actively participate and represent Ivanti in marketing events and conferences to enhance brand visibility.
  • Provide exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in Enterprise Software (SaaS) or high technology customer-facing roles.
  • Proven expertise in software pre-sales, demonstrating value-based technical selling, particularly in IT management tools.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage audiences from C-suite executives to technical users.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25-50% for customer engagements and events as needed.

Roadmap for Success

  • First 90 Days:
    • Onboard and complete all necessary training related to Ivanti products, especially Unified Endpoint Management (UEM).
    • Shadow experienced Sales Engineers to understand pre-sales processes and customer engagement.
    • Build relationships with designated Sales Specialists and other internal teams.
    • Conduct customer meetings and participate in demonstrations to gain firsthand experience.
    • Familiarize yourself with the competitive landscape and key differentiators of Ivanti’s UEM solutions.
    • Create an initial plan for target accounts based on market research and customer analysis.
  • First 6 Months:
    • Take ownership of the assigned territory and begin leading pre-sales engagements independently.
    • Conduct regular check-ins with Sales Specialists and provide feedback to enhance collaboration.
    • Deliver at least 5 technical presentations or demos showcasing the UEM value proposition to prospects.
    • Identify and propose improvements to the sales process based on customer feedback.
    • Engage with current customers to uncover upsell opportunities and increase customer satisfaction.
    • Attend industry events and contribute to thought leadership by presenting at 1-2 conferences.
  • First 12 Months:
    • Achieve assigned sales quota through proactive engagement with prospects and existing customers.
    • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts, becoming a trusted advisor.
    • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends and suggest product enhancements.
    • Mentor new Sales Engineers and share best practices with the broader sales team.
    • Collaborate with marketing to create at least one case study demonstrating successful customer outcomes.
    • Evaluate personal performance, set new goals for the next year, and outline a professional development plan.
