You will be expected to:
- Set monitoring and alerting of multiple environments
- participate in 24⁄7 on-call rotation
- oversee production platform deployments
- establish cooperation rules for SRE, Development and DevOps teams
- build highly available infrastructure for the SaaS platform
- identify new tools and processes to improve the cloud platform and automate processes (e.g. create automation for log file management)
- program applications to be optimized to work within constructs of an AWS environment
- set up or manage backups and patching across the environments
- serve as a technical point of contact on customer engagements
- collaborate with the engineering team to define and implement solutions with external and internal cloud services features such as auto-scaling, elastic load balancing, instance right-sizing, disaster recovery strategies, and tiered storage
Our requirements:
- microservice and web environment debugging and problem-solving skills
- hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, automation, and monitoring of various Cloud Services
- hands-on experience with DevOps/Automation tools e.g. AWS Cloud Formation, Ansible, Jenkins, Git
- experience with Amazon Web Services (Azure and/or Google Cloud are nice to have)
- experience in application virtualization – Kubernetes, Docker
- experience with IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling concepts – (focus on AWS Networking)
