THE POSITION Our roster has an opening with your name on it

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer, TV Technologies to join our media & infrastructure-focused team. Working alongside other engineers, you’ll build, maintain, and improve internal tools, automation, and infrastructure. You’ll contribute to architecture, take part in design discussions, and perform deployments and upkeep. You’ll also share knowledge with teammates through documentation, lead code reviews, and collaborative sessions.

This is an autonomous, high-impact position suited to someone who loves solving complex problems, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about building stable, scalable systems that support others.

This role supports a live broadcast environment where responsibilities will extend beyond traditional coding tasks & technologies. While this job description outlines the primary focus areas, we value individuals who are comfortable with ambiguity and eager to learn. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, has a positive attitude, and excited to contribute to dynamic, cross-functional situations—whether that involves working closely with broadcast teams, assisting in real-time troubleshooting, or stepping in to solve non- standard challenges as they arise.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

Everyone on our team has a part to play

• Drive broadcast features through the full software development lifecycle with input from stakeholders.

• Maintain systems in your domain — such as internal tooling, automation, and infrastructure—while collaborating with peers for change ownership.

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs using C#, Node.js, Python, and Terraform.

• Build and maintain front-end interfaces using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Support the adoption and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, replacing manual AWS workflows.

• Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Buildkite, GitHub Actions, and internal tooling.• Mentor lower-level engineers and cross-functional teammates (non-Software Engineers) in Git, Terraform, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows & best practices, enabling them to contribute to infrastructure and automation initiatives.

• Be a knowledgeable resource on DevOps and infrastructure within your team.

• Collaborate with broadcast engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define problems and deliver solutions.

• Participate in sprint planning, ticketing, and delivery with engineering lead support.

• Join an on-call rotation to help support uptime and incident response.

• Write and maintain documentation, runbooks, and diagrams.

• Contribute to monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling.

• Suggest engineering improvements and share feedback across teams.

THE STATS

What we’re looking for in our next teammate

• Experienced in software engineering, with a focus on backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering.

• Proficient in modern programming languages and frameworks across the stack, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies as needed.

• Hands-on with AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience working with DevOps platforms (e.g., DataMiner), observability tools (e.g., Datadog), and automation frameworks.

• Own the outcome ensuring all software—across dev, staging, and production—meets FanDuel and Flutter security standards and remains compliant throughout its lifecycle.

• Proactively identify security risks, follow secure coding practices, and collaborate with relevant teams to uphold a strong security posture across all systems.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and enable others, especially in DevOps and infrastructure practices.

• Experience supporting production systems in a high-availability, on-call environment.

• Solid grasp of architecture and maintainability in cloud systems.

• Strong communicator and team collaborator.

• Comfortable working in a hybrid model (3-4 days/week in studio).

• Experience in media, broadcast, or regulated environments.
