We are the largest peer-to-peer financing platform for SMEs across Southeast Asia. We exist to enable SMEs across Southeast Asia with fair and sustainable financial access. Everyday, we enable investors to crowdlend the SME loans and earn returns of up to 14% per annum, while also offering SMEs access to equitable capital for their growth needs. Together, we have crowdfunded over $300M loans to date!

We are looking for backend engineers to design and build the systems that power our core business of lending and Neobanking. As a backend engineer, you will build features that introduce or significantly expand capabilities for our business teams, opening the way to new markets, partners, and other opportunities. Our team is fully remote and growing rapidly over the last few years, but still lean enough not to require excessive specialisation – you will have the opportunity to take on a wide variety of domains.
This position is available for fully remote working arrangements across all cities in Indonesia .
What you’ll do
- Design, develop and maintain scalable and highly available systems to empower our fintech platform.
- Work with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop solutions.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code using GoLang and Nodejs.
- Ensure the quality of the code by writing unit tests and integration tests.
- Be on rotational tech support, debug and resolve production issues, and take part in blameless postmortems.
- Plan and execute smooth migrations to new technology as a way of managing technical debt.
- Build tools and automation for our business and operations teams.
What you need to have
- At least 4 years of experience as a backend engineer.
- Proficiency in Golang and Nodejs.
- Solid experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and MySQL. NoSQL experience will be a plus.
- Experience in writing unit tests and integration tests.
- Familiar with microservices architecture and cloud services such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Having experience with Continuous Integration systems e.g. CircleCI, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, and GitLab
- Have a high level of attention to details
- Have good analytical skills with problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience in Agile development methodologies
