Summary
The job is for a Senior Software Engineer in Rewatch Engineering team. The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting features, collaborating with Product Design, participating in code reviews, documenting systems, and working with support. Requirements
- 4 or more years of experience developing production web software using Ruby, Javascript, or similar languages
- Experience with SQL, general database knowledge
- Troubleshooting skills across application, queuing, database, and other service layers
- Familiarity with DevOps best practices such as understanding of monitoring, observability, continuous integration & deployment
- Ability to gather, analyze, debug and fix problems that occur with live production systems
- Experience working remotely on a software team
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, rollout, and support highly performant features with your team
- Collaborate closely with Product Design to build new features
- Evaluate and recommend solutions, incorporating input from others in Engineering
- Participate in code reviews to help root out bugs and other security issues
- Document the systems you help build
- Work with support to triage and debug technical support requests
