Summary
Wherobots is hiring a backend software engineer to design, develop, and maintain the backend services and infrastructure for their geospatial cloud database and control plane. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and optimize performance and reliability of the backend infrastructure. They should have a strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience in backend software development, proficiency in one or more programming languages, and experience with cloud platforms.

- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Go
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems to support our geospatial cloud database and control plane
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, identify technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software
- Optimize performance and reliability of the backend infrastructure through observability, continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and improvement
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in backend technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes
