We develop technology and data products for Democratic candidates, progressive causes, and local governments. Founded in 2019, we offer a Voter Registration Suite for cost-effective campaigns, Data Solutions with partisan modeling for voters, and Voter Engagement Tools for direct voter outreach and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts. We acquired TextOut in 2022 to improve SMS messaging for voter engagement.

In our first election year, 2020, our tools helped clients register over 800,000 voters. By 2022, we registered over 300,000 new voters. Overall, we have registered millions of new voters and worked with hundreds of clients across 27 states, focusing on reaching underrepresented voters and mobilizing turnout.

Our CEO and co-founder, Jeremy Smith, has led the company since it started. Before Civitech, he launched Register2Vote, which identified over 400,000 new voters from 2018 to 2020. He also served as Deputy Director of Voter Protection for the Clinton presidential campaign in Florida in 2016. We were listed #5 of MO 100 Top Impact CEOs, received the Expy’s “Hidden Gem” award for our voter registration work, and won a CampaignTech award for Best Use of AI.

We are a remote-first organization with an optional office in Austin, TX. Our team of 11-50 employees includes activists, leaders, engineers, organizers, artists, and voting rights experts.
