Articulate is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our amazing Rise 360 team.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Articulate, you’ll work closely with a talented team of engineers and designers to build industry-leading products and solve interesting, complex problems. You’ll be responsible for large tasks and you’ll collaborate with teammates to develop the right solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Build new features and enhance existing ones with an eye for quality
- Focus on customers and iterate quickly to bring them value
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers and product leaders
- Mentor software engineers and review work constructively
- Participate in defining application architecture
- Participate in and level up our incident response process

- Be responsible for making effective use of your time, focusing on quality results instead of effort
What you should have:
- A proven track record of implementing, shipping and maintaining production software
- A history of collaborative, team-based work
- Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly explain technical topics to engineers and non-engineers alike
- Little need for direct oversight
- Ability to write clear, testable, and maintainable JavaScript
- Proficiency with frontend technologies (React, JavaScript/TypeScript, S(CSS))
- Proficiency with backend technologies (Node.js, Postgres, Docker)
- Strong git/github familiarity
Nice to haves:
- AWS services (S3, SNS, SQS, etc.)
- Event-driven architectures
- Experience w/ a variety of frontend frameworks and/or Native Web Components
- Real-time collaboration (CRDTs, WebSockets, etc.)
- TypeScript
- ML, LLMs, OpenAI, etc.
- Experience and passion for accessibility
$133,700 - $200,500 a year
The pay range for this position is $133,700 to $200,500 for all US locations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum amounts we believe in good faith, at the time of this posting, are appropriate for this role. Actual compensation may vary, subject to future adjustment as needed. Articulate considers a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is also bonus-eligible. This position is eligible for Articulate’s robust suite of benefits which are detailed here. The application window for this position is expected to close 90 days from the original posting date.
This is a US-based role and can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States. Occasional travel for company events may be required. Employees must physically reside and work within the US throughout their employment and must immediately notify Articulate of any change of address.
