Position Summary

As a key member of our high-performing and high-impact Talent Acquisition team, you’ll play a central role in shaping the future of HackerOne by hiring exceptional people for our technical teams across the U.S.

At HackerOne, we embrace a Flexible Work approach, enabling our team members to work remotely while maintaining productivity and collaboration. We are seeking candidates located in Austin and the surrounding metropolitan areas, to facilitate occasional in-person interactions as needed. While the position is primarily remote, there will be periodic in-person requirements to support team collaboration and foster stronger connections. This approach ensures flexibility while providing opportunities to build meaningful in-person relationships that strengthen our team and company culture.

What You Will Do

  • ๐ŸŽฏ Lead full-cycle hiring for a range of roles, with a strong focus on engineering and technical talent.

  • ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ Review resumes, run phone screens, and dig deep to understand what makes a candidate truly stand out.

  • ๐Ÿ” Proactively source top-tier candidates using every creative tool in your kit โ€” LinkedIn is just the beginning.

  • ๐Ÿค Build strong relationships with hiring managers, guide them through hiring strategy, and collaborate to create a smooth and efficient process.

  • ๐Ÿง  Own hiring processes end-to-end, continuously optimizing and improving as you go.

  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Create a proactive pipeline for high-volume roles โ€” no waiting around for applicants here.

  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Champion an unforgettable candidate experience, from first contact to offer, with consistent communication and white-glove follow-up.

  • ๐Ÿ“Š Keep our ATS (we use Ashby!) tidy and accurate โ€” you’re the source of truth for your roles.

  • ๐Ÿ“ฃ Get to know HackerOne inside-out and become an authentic, compelling ambassador for our mission and culture.

  • ๐Ÿงฎ Use data to inform decisions and spot areas for improvement โ€” you donโ€™t just have recruiting metrics, you use them.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 3 years in-house (youโ€™ve seen the inside of a fast-moving company and know how to get things done).

  • Proven track record hiring for technical roles, especially software engineers.

  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or tech scale-up environment โ€” you’re used to tight timelines, shifting priorities, and wearing multiple hats.

  • Comfortable partnering with cross-functional teams like Compensation, People Ops, and HRBPs.

  • Known for your creative sourcing skills โ€” you know how to find great talent even when itโ€™s not looking.

  • Data-driven mindset โ€” you donโ€™t just report numbers, you use them to tell stories and guide decisions.

  • Excellent at juggling priorities, staying organized, and keeping things moving in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in the cybersecurity space

  • Familiarity with Ashby (our ATS), Google Workspace, and Slack.

Tier Guide

Tier B: 118,800 - 135,000 USD
