We are hiring a Social Content Lead, a creative and self-driven content operator who understands what it means to build a brand in public. You’ll lead the execution of our social media content engine and manage key channels across the agency and its leadership (Darkroom, Hyper, and the CEO’s personal brand). This role lives at the intersection of marketing strategy, content production, and cultural fluency.
This is not a scheduling job. We’re looking for someone who can shape narratives, create scroll-stopping content, write copy that cuts through and track performance to inform what comes next. You’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Content, Creative Lead, video editors, and designers to bring our voice to life in ways that are smart, sharp, and made for the internet.
This is a fully remote role supporting a team in the EST time zone and is open to candidates based in Portugal, Spain, Mexico and Brazil.
What You’ll Do:
Strategy and Planning
Own and manage the Darkroom and Dark Social content calendars across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube and TikTok using Notion
Help lead content strategy for Darkroom, Dark Social and our newsletter
Coordinate with the Creative Lead, Web Lead and editors to ensure campaigns ship on time and stay aligned with the overall brand direction
Dark Social
Dark social is the founder-led content of our CEO, Lucas DiPietrantonio.
Work closely with Lucas to generate net new ideas that align with his content strategy and fit into key narrative buckets
Own Lucas’s publishing cadence across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and newsletter
Write scripts for social videos, pull clips from podcasts, vlogs, and internal footage and build a weekly content pipeline that stays consistent across platforms
Translate long tangents, voice notes, or unstructured thoughts into clear, punchy captions and social-ready copy
Develop and assign visuals, including TikTok green screen backgrounds, screen grabs, and repurposed content to video editors and designers
Coordinate across internal teams (design, video, web) to ensure all content is polished, packaged and published
Track and report on specific KPIs including weekly publishing SLAs, channel-level follower growth, impressions, post engagement, and newsletter subscribers
Newsletters
Own Dark social newsletter, authored by Lucas and Darkroom brand newsletter
Write, edit and coordinate shipping both newsletters each week, maintaining a consistent voice, sharp editorial tone and relevance to our core audiences
Reference and study newsletter formats like Jessie Puji’s and Tyler Denk’s to inform structure, pacing and insight delivery
Source content from across our ecosystem (vlogs, interviews, podcasts, tweets, webinars) and repackage it into narrative-driven newsletters that drive engagement and subscribers
Own the newsletter content calendar, coordinate with blog editors and creative collaborators, and report on subscriber growth and engagement metrics
Content Creation
Write all copy for posts, captions, headlines and newsletters using sharp, on-brand Darkroom language
Capture and edit native content using your phone at events, team gatherings, and bts moments
Work with editors to manage founder content, podcasts and long-form video production
Handle copy adaptation across channels, tailoring tone and messaging for each platform
Collaborate with designers to produce branded visuals when needed
Community Management
Monitor and respond to comments and DMs across all platforms
Engage in conversations that matter to our audience and the brand
Coordinate with partners and affiliates to amplify reach and visibility
Performance and Reporting
Track performance metrics across all channels and campaigns
Report regularly on performance and use insights to guide future content decisions
Stay updated on trends, algorithm shifts, and all platform updates
You’re a Great Fit If You:
Have 5 or more years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, ideally in an agency or fast-paced brand environment
Are a strong writer who understands nuance and tone, and can adapt copy across platforms
Know how to shoot and edit content on your phone, and are comfortable working with both raw and produced material
Are organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple timelines without missing the mark
Have a deep understanding of social platforms and can identify what content works best where
Have a track record of growing audiences and creating content that moves the needle
Use data to back creative decisions and are constantly looking to optimize
Thrive in fast-moving environments and like to experiment with content formats and styles
Are comfortable working directly with leadership and can manage high-impact, high-visibility content
Bonus If You:
Have worked with personal brands or founder-led content
Have experience managing newsletter copy or owned media channels
Are fluent in design tools like Figma
Can build simple reports and dashboards to track content performance
