Darkroom is looking for an experienced Director of TikTok Shop to build and lead a new services team for fast-growing CPG brands. The TikTok Shop service will focus exclusively on full-service TikTok Shop management for our suite of portfolio brands. You will have the opportunity to work with many of the most exciting consumer brands in the space.
This individual will be pivotal in expanding our marketplace capabilities while leading a team of marketplace brand managers and overseeing key client accounts. They will drive the growth and success of our TikTok Shop offering and ensure seamless management of client relationships and brand strategies. The Director will be responsible for developing strategies that increase GMV, establishing best practices with affiliates, and delivering measurable results for our clients.
What you’ll do
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute TikTok Shop strategies to drive GMV growth for clients. Lead and build a high-performing team of brand managers that will handle shop management/set up, affiliate relationships, content quality control, growth strategies, and media buying. You will be expected to execute on these functions while building out a team.
Content Creator Expertise: Develop and oversee the execution of sophisticated creator and affiliate strategies for TikTok Shop, including structured affiliate network development, creator performance optimization, and strategic content planning. Lead the development of scalable AI based systems for creator recruitment, management, and performance analysis to drive consistent GMV growth.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the senior point of contact for clients. Provide strategic insights on TikTok Shop optimization, creator partnerships, and social commerce growth opportunities. Develop innovative approaches to maximize GMV and conversion through the TikTok ecosystem.
Data-Driven Approach: Oversee the collection and analysis of performance data to continuously refine and enhance retail media strategies. Develop comprehensive reporting frameworks to communicate results and recommendations effectively to clients.
Innovation and Optimization: Stay ahead of industry trends and continuously explore new digital channels and tools to drive in-store sales. Test and implement innovative solutions to increase the impact of retail media investments.
Team Development: Team Development: Develop training for and mentor existing creator managers on all things TikTok Shop. Foster a culture of collaboration and creativity.
Who You Are
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or DTC, with at least 2 years of experience in social commerce. Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience managing TikTok Shop operations and growth.
Strong understanding of social commerce platforms, particularly TikTok Shop, including technical knowledge of shop setup, product listing optimization, inventory management, and integration with e-commerce platforms. Demonstrated expertise in TikTok’s creator marketplace, affiliate programs, and live shopping features.
Demonstrated experience leading and growing teams in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate strategies, insights, and recommendations to both clients and internal teams.
Strong data analytics capabilities with experience developing comprehensive performance measurement frameworks for TikTok Shop. Demonstrated ability to analyze creator performance, conversion metrics, and GMV trends to optimize strategy and drive growth. Experience with TikTok’s analytics tools and ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
