Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, HTML, Javascript, and RESTful API development
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of full-stack engineers to build and enhance products across the stack
- Develop back-end Ruby on Rails dispatch applications and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with the UI/UX team to create new user experiences and extend web applications
- Improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our real-time, location-based systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across our platforms quickly and efficiently
- Stay current with new technologies and be eager to learn and apply new skills
- Contribute to our agile development process, iterating quickly and pushing code frequently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time systems, location-based services, and/or telephony apps (e.g., Twilio) is a plus
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis)
- Familiarity with system scalability, performance management, and agile methodologies
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and project management software (Jira, Bitbucket)
Benefits
$85,000 - $135,000 a year
