Summary
Metabase is seeking exceptional Backend Software Engineers to work on their data analysis tool. The ideal candidate has experience with Clojure or a strong desire to learn, a solid CS background, and the ability to make good technical judgments. Additional skills like JDBC, Java ecosystem, JVM tuning, open source contributions, and JavaScript/TypeScript are beneficial but not mandatory.
Requirements
- Experience in Clojure (or a strong desire to learn)
- Track record of shipping products of significant complexity
- Solid CS background
- Able to make good technical judgements and back them up articulately
Responsibilities
Ship major features end to end across the JavaScript and Clojure codebase
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JDBC and database integrations
- Experience and knowledge of the Java ecosystem and JVM tuning
- History of open source contributions
- Experience in JavaScript / TypeScript (our frontend is in JS and TS)
