Job Summary:

The Software Engineer II role is primarily devoted to designing and developing next generation software for the Nextech product suite.  In this role, you will work within a team of talented, motivated individuals who are passionate about developing high quality software products that engage users and enable them to work efficiently. The Software Engineer II has acquired technical knowledge, analytical, and problem-solving skills in more than one area of development and is able to show flexibility in the tasks that they perform. The ideal candidate is collaborative, curious, creative, versatile, organized, and is intrinsically motivated to continuously improve themselves and others around them.

Essential Functions:

  • Essential Functions: In addition to working in accordance with appropriate conduct and behavioral standards, specific responsibilities of this role include:
  • Develop Full Stack Applications: Build software in a SCRUM environment using C#, JavaScript, SQL, and JavaScript/Typescript frameworks like Angular.
  • Embrace Best Practices: Consistently apply best practices in software development, including Code Reviews, Unit Tests, and CI/CD processes, leveraging them every day to ensure high-quality code.
  • Perform Code Reviews: Conduct mutual code reviews within your team to maintain high standards and ensure the quality and reliability of the codebase.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with teams, scrum masters, and product owners to align development efforts with project goals and timelines.
  • Action-Oriented Development: Quickly translate ideas into actionable implementations, demonstrating the ability to move swiftly from concept to execution.
  • Strong Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas, provide feedback, and collaborate with team members.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Provide innovative and creative solutions to complex and challenging problems, ensuring the development of effective and efficient software solutions.
  • Scalable Development: Ensure the development of scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems capable of handling high transaction volumes, with a passion for excellence in software development.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned based on business needs

Minimum Requirements:

  • Solid experience developing Angular 14+ applications.
  • Solid experience developing in C# and .Net Framework.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and related web design tools.
  • Extensive experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Solid knowledge JavaScript/Typescript and SQL
  • Minimum of 5+ years industry experience, including development of robust, scalable micro-service back ends
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience with the Microsoft tech stack
  • Minimum of 3+ years using Microsoft SQL Server and writing advanced queries
  • Experience delivering a product to market using Agile methodologies
  • Creativity, motivation, and a strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Practice Management experience
  • Scheduler tools experience
  • Angular 16 or newer preferred
  • Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps experience
  • Healthcare or Healthtech experience
  • Experience with HL7- FHIR
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations related to financial transactions and healthcare data (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Microsoft MCSA 2016 or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with a Software as a Service development team.
