About Snowplow

Snowplow, the global leader in customer data infrastructure (CDI), enables every organisation to own and unlock the value of its customer behavioural data.

The Snowplow CDI fuels AI-driven marketing, digital products and services, customer experiences, and fraud detection by enabling companies like Burberry, Strava, and AutoTrader to collect and manage real-time, structured, and unstructured behavioural data governed in their cloud data platform.

With thousands of companies relying on Snowplow worldwide to generate high-velocity data to uncover deeper customer journey insights, predict customer behaviours, optimise differentiated customer experiences, and detect fraud; we are at the forefront of transforming how data-driven organisations leverage their customer behavioural data.

Following our $40 million Series B funding led by global venture capital firm NEA, known for investments in Databricks, MongoDB, and Elastic, we are seeking creative and innovative individuals to help us shape the future of Snowplow.

The Opportunity

We are always on the look out for standout Solutions Architects who are masterminds at juggling both technical and commercial consultative conversations. This role sits in our Professional Services team, reporting into the Director of Technical Account Management. It is absolutely essential that our Solutions Architects are curious about our customers and the problems they are trying to solve.

At Snowplow we see activating our customers as one of the most important functions of our business in terms of retaining and delighting customers. We aim to deeply understand the business and data outcomes that our customers want to see and design implementations of our product around this.

Our Solutions Architecture team works directly with customer data teams to train them on the Snowplow product, co-design and develop bespoke solutions, implement use cases and quantify business value.

What you’ll be doing

● Onboard new customers, understand their business needs, and help them design and build Snowplow-centered solutions

● Help drive customer retention and growth by educating customers on best practices and the fundamentals of Snowplow technology

● Creatively and flexibly engage our customers to work with the wide variety of technical and organisational challenges they face

● Collaborate with your teammates to develop new and innovative resources – such as training content, technical assets, and implementation methods – to contribute to our extensibility framework

● Develop domain expertise in our key verticals through deep customer collaborations, general research, and involvement with industry events/conferences.

● Help shape our product roadmap and evolution by interpreting customer feedback, spotting trends, and identifying key opportunities for improvement

● Develop your industry expertise and personal brand by contributing to marketing events and webinars.

What you bring to the team

● You understand people - Deeply emotionally intelligent, you can quickly read a room of stakeholders and adapt your delivery style and content quickly, showing them what conceptual ideas look like in reality.

● Experience and a solid understanding of the data space - cloud infrastructure, database technologies, visualisation tools and other enabling technologies in the modern data stack.  You’ll know SQL and be practised at manipulating data.

● Creative problem solver - Previous experience with a complex software product, ideally designing solutions and gathering requirements. You are comfortable communicating with senior technical stakeholders (CTO, VP Eng, Tech Leads).

● Business challenge? Let me help - A passion for working at the intersection of technology and business problems - this role is always about delivering business impact for our customers through data.  You enjoy helping individuals and teams to learn new skills and master technologies.

● Excellent communication skills - Excellent listener, a patient teacher and an empathetic data professional.  You make complex concepts easy to understand by showing how they work in practice. You’ll also be a proactive team player that collaborates with colleagues on projects.

Bonus points if you have:

● Experience with Javascript in a frontend environment, preferably with Snowplow or other JS trackers, or experience with setting up tracking through Google Tag Manager

● Previous experience using Snowplow, whether Snowplow BDP or open source.

● Previous experience with behavioural data and/or event tracking
