We founded Moveworks in 2016 to automate tasks and answer questions across business applications. In 2024, ServiceNow acquired us for $2.85 billion.

Our platform connects systems in HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Facilities. It’s available in over 100 languages and combines search and action in one interface, with hundreds of built-in integrations and support for specialized AI agents.

Our Reasoning Engine helps the platform understand, plan, execute, and adapt to complete employee requests, handling complex, multi-step tasks by choosing the right tools. This agentic AI technology streamlines workflows and boosts productivity for our clients.

We serve over 350 organizations, including Toyota, Instacart, CVS Health, Marriott, HP, GitHub, Hearst, Databricks, and Micron. These clients include 10% of both the Fortune 500 and Fortune 50 companies. Our platform supports over 5 million employees worldwide, often showing value within 8 weeks. We’ve helped build 10,000 AI agents, with 90% deployed company-wide.

The platform includes an AI Agent Marketplace with over 1000 agents. We also offer customizable AI agents for unique workflows and tools like Scoped Assistants, Assistant Builder, and a Headless API. We ensure security with rigorous protocols, real-time governance, and certifications like ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and FedRAMP “In Process” designation.

When we started Moveworks in 2016, our goal was to improve IT service by cutting down time spent on routine support requests. Our founders saw that AI capable of understanding natural language could solve many problems, leading us to develop an AI platform for automating enterprise support.

We have 501 to 1000 employees worldwide, with offices in Mountain View, CA (HQ), San Francisco, CA, Austin, TX, New York City, NY, and Bangalore, India. We also offer remote roles. Our co-founders are Bhavin Shah (CEO), Varun Singh (President), Jiang Chen (CTO of AI), and Vaibhav Nivargi (CTO).
