T-Rex Solutions is seeking to hire a part-time (expected average of 20 hours per week with some variability week-to-week) Staff Accountant to join our back office team. The Staff Accountant will work closely with Accounting Management to oversee the Accounting Operations of the Business. They will have experience working on a team of accounting professionals in the delivery of information and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. This multifaceted team member will embody a commitment to the highest levels of integrity and company values. The successful candidate will:
- Prepare customer invoices and make necessary adjustments, working closely with Accounting Management and Program Management
- Process Accounts Payable invoices and respond to payment inquiries
- Identify any Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable issues that arise with customers and suppliers, and communicate issues to Accounting Management and Program Management in a timely manner
- Serve as administrator for Unanet, T-Rex’s timekeeping and accounting system, which includes adding users to the system, responding to questions, and various other responsibilities
- Assist with a variety of month-end financial close tasks
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasts, and review results with Accounting Management on a regular basis
- Provide support to and interface with outside Auditors and Consultants
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant field
- 2+ years in Accounting
- US Citizenship required
- Strong organizational skills – must be comfortable managing multiple priorities, keeping detailed notes, and following through on all action items
- Strong communication skills – must be comfortable collaborating with remote personnel, customers and co-workers at all levels.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in general ledger and timekeeping systems (preferably Unanet)

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annualized base salary range for this position as a full-time role is $60,000 - $70,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
