Job Description

We are recruiting a Systems Test Engineer.

This will be a permanent, full-time role based out of our Auckland office, 40 hours a week, $110,000 NZD per annum.

Join our Technology Vertical as Systems Test Engineer (Intermediate) in Auckland to make a real impact every day. We say that because we know that every conversation we have, every code line we write and every interface we design is another opportunity for us to enrich our customers’ experiences.

Reporting into Software Development Team Lead, you will help us conduct tests throughout all stages of software development to ensure quality of our software products. You will:

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases and automated tests to identify defects and ensure that our products meet the required standards.
  • Solve problems and provide technical expertise and direction in support of system infrastructure and process improvements, and diagnoses and resolves complex system problems.
  • Work closely with software engineers, product managers, business analyst to drive the QA process, contributing ideas and process improvement
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and tool

Location: In this position, you can work from home 100%, anywhere in Auckland, provided you have full working rights.

Required qualifications and skills for this role:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a QA Engineer or Test Analyst role
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field such as Computer Science or Information Technoogy
  • Strong proficiency in C#,.NET and testing frameworks like xUnit or similar tools.
  • Previous experience in QA engineering, preferably in microservices environment.
  • Previous experience in or a high level of exposure to automation testing
  • High level of knowledge in SQL
  • Experience in design, implementation, and execution of test strategies and solutions
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
  • Motivated by a fast-evolving environment where you’ll have to constantly adapt - no two days are the same!

  • Good to have experience with cloud-based technologies like Azure or AWS
