Job description
Thinkific is a learning commerce platform. We unite community, courses, and content with commerce, so experts and teams can create transformative learning experiences to grow their revenue. We build products that create impact and raise the bar on what’s possible through online learning.
Our team of 275+ Thinkers supports customers around the globe while working collaboratively to learn, grow, and succeed together. Join us to see how we’re building one of the best workplaces in Canadian tech!
We believe every candidate should have a fair, inclusive, and overall great experience when exploring a new role with Thinkific. That starts with outlining our hiring process so you know what to expect every step of the way—click here to learn more: https://thnk.cc/whattoexpect
Are you passionate about building strong relationships—whether with prospective candidates or internal hiring leads? Thinkific is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner (R&D) to join us on a 6-month contract and help grow our exceptional team!
As a Talent Acquisition Partner (R&D), you’ll become a trusted partner in identifying and engaging high-performing technical talent. You’ll creatively source candidates, showcase the impact of joining Thinkific, and champion our award-winning culture that prioritizes people and growth.
We’re hiring a contract team member for an initial 6-month term, with the potential for extension based on business needs.
Your goal will be to hire top talent for Thinkific. Here’s how you’ll accomplish this:
- Source and build a diverse pipeline of both active and passive candidates across R&D (Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, and Data)
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, from writing job descriptions and screening resumes to coordinating assignments, conducting interviews, and delivering offers
- Partner with hiring leads, offering guidance, training, and feedback to meet current and future hiring needs
- Share insights on key recruitment metrics: applicant quality, conversion rates, time-to-hire, and pipeline health
- Contribute to strategic recruitment projects, including process improvements, interviewing best practices, and DEIB initiatives
- Support Thinkific’s employer brand, including talent marketing content, and community partnerships
The person we have in mind likely:
- Has 3-5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, ideally including some time hiring for SaaS companies. Experience recruiting for technical roles is essential.
- Is committed to delivering an exceptional candidate experience—always leaving candidates feeling valued, no matter the outcome
- Is passionate about talent acquisition and eager to continue building skills across sourcing, interviewing, and candidate engagement
- Has strong communication and interviewing skills, with the ability to assess role and team competencies
- Is resourceful, creative, and willing to experiment with new ways to attract top talent
- Possesses a high level of adaptability; they don’t mind switching gears if plans suddenly change
- Loves to learn and grow. They’ve found (and keep looking for) ways to level up their skills in this field, whether that’s through formal education, gaining professional experience, or maybe even building their own business
These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:
- Experience with our tech stack—we use Greenhouse as our ATS, BambooHR as our HRIS, Slack for communication and coordination, and track our tasks and projects in Asana
- Experience recruiting in SaaS
We’re committed to fair and transparent pay that reflects both where you’re at and where you can grow. This role has a salary range of $62,400 - $78,000 - $93,600 in Canada, designed to capture the full journey from developing skills to excelling in the position. Most new hires start between the minimum and midpoint, which aligns with being fully capable in the role. Salaries above the midpoint are typically reserved for team members who have demonstrated strong, consistent performance, deep expertise, and a significant positive impact within the role.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging & Accessibility
This is just our initial idea of who we’re looking for! At Thinkific, we know that people have unique career journeys. If your experience is close to what we’ve described but you feel that you might be missing a few of the requirements, please still apply! We believe in equal opportunity and are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across every facet of our business.
We’re also committed to providing a comfortable and accessible interview experience for every candidate. If there are any accommodations our team can make throughout our hiring process (big or small), please let us know.
