We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and artistically literate Talent Manager to join our Pre-Production Department. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping us discover freelance artists, match them with upcoming project needs, and maintain a structured, high-quality talent pipeline.
This position is ideal for someone with a background in 2D/3D art or game production who enjoys combining creativity with strategy and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and connect with art-freelance 2D, 3D, VFX, animation, and technical artists (e.g., rigging, skinning) for future collaboration.
Conduct outreach and nurture long-term relationships with potential creative partners.
Understand the difference between art styles (stylized vs. realistic), pipelines (2D vs. 3D), and specialties (e.g., modeling, texturing, animation).
Evaluate artist portfolios in collaboration with the Art Director and Pre-Production Lead.
Maintain internal CRM systems (Airtable, NetHunt, etc.) and ensure artist data is up to date and easy to access.
Track outreach, availability, quality benchmarks, and provide structured reports and conversion summaries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including producers, art leads, and business development to forecast upcoming hiring needs.
Background in 2D/3D art, animation, or production within the gaming industry.
Clear understanding of art areas (stylized vs. realistic art, rigging, VFX, animation workflows).
Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with freelance artists.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining clean systems and outreach records.
Proactive and independent - able to manage your workflow and priorities with minimal supervision.
Experience in outreach, artist management or community building.
Previously worked as a producer, art coordinator, or in a freelance artist network.
Passionate about games, digital art, and creative collaboration.
