What are we looking for?

If you have a passion for technical precision and ownership of communications that deeply impact customer and partner experience, we want you on our team. SentinelOne is expanding its Technical Communications function and looking for a Senior Technical Communications Specialist to drive our customer-facing technical communications strategy. This includes full ownership of all Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure all external technical content is timely, accurate, and actionable.

You’ll be at the center of communication between SentinelOne’s engineering depth and our external stakeholders, taking complex technical findings and translating them into compelling, understandable messaging. This role requires a strong foundation in technical writing, incident analysis, and a commitment to delivering content that instills clarity and trust.

What will you Do?

  • Take ownership of all customer- and partner-facing technical communications, including incident-related updates and post-incident Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, Services, Support, and Security Research to ensure technical communications are complete, accurate, and aligned across teams.
  • Investigate incident tickets and engineering retroical depth across all outbound communications.
  • Proactively develop and manage recurring communication cadences to educate and update customers and partners on platform developments, technical changes, and incident learnings.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between customer-facing teams and the engineering organization to translate technical developments into impactful communication strategies.
  • Provide internal visibility to stakeholders on upcoming communications and prepare teams to respond effectively to customer inquiries.
  • Contribute to the creation and evolution of templates, workflows, and documentation standards that support scalable and high-quality technical communications.spectives to develop detailed, clearly articulated RCAs for external audiences.
  • Draft, edit, and manage a variety of technical content types including alerts, product updates, advisories, and long-form documentation targeted at technical audiences.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity in voice and technical depth across all outbound communications.

What experience or knowledge should you bring?

  • 5+ years of experience in technical communications, technical writing, or related fields in a SaaS or cybersecurity context.
  • Proven ownership of incident communication workflows, including authoring Root Cause Analyses and post-mortem summaries.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical content into clear, accessible formats for diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and be available during critical incidents that may sometimes take place outside of ‘standard’ business hours to rapidly craft and deliver urgent technical communications to customers and partners.
  • Experience collaborating across technical teams and customer-facing functions to gather accurate inputs and manage communications lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of endpoint protection, XDR/SIEM platforms, and/or cloud security architectures.
  • Familiarity with documentation platforms and tools such as Confluence, Jira, Atlas, and version-controlled content repositories.
  • Deep understanding of customer-centric communication practices with demonstrated ability to manage communications across varying stakeholder levels.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong team player and self-starter with the ability to operate independently when required.

What will separate you from other candidates?

  • Previous experience in a security-centric role such as Technical Writer, RCA Author, Incident Response Analyst, or Technical Program Manager in engineering or operations.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo, and campaign automation tools.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Tableau or Power BI for supporting visual data communications.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS for formatting communications or documentation.
  • Professional fluency in one or more foreign languages.
  • Demonstrated success building scalable communication programs for technical incident response and platform updates.
