Job description
As Technical Director, you’ll lead the technical execution of a major marine works project (jetty and marine offloading facility) in Mozambique. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you’ll oversee all technical functions on site, ensuring work is planned, coordinated, and delivered to the highest quality and safety standards.

Your Task
- Lead and coordinate the Technical Office, managing engineers, planners, BIM specialists, and other technical staff.
- Organize and prioritize site engineering activities to meet deadlines while maintaining efficiency and quality.
- Oversee design reviews, methods, and construction planning for complex trades (steel structures, marine works, concrete prefabrication).
- Act as a key point of contact for resolving challenging technical issues.
- Ensure seamless communication between site teams, management, and stakeholders.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- 15+ years’ experience managing large-scale civil or marine construction projects (> €100M), with exposure to jetties or quay walls as a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Problem-solver with excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Willing to work in a remote base camp (Mozambique) on a 6⁄3 rotation schedule.
