Job description
Symmetrio is hiring a Technical Project Manager on behalf of our client — a global leader in the medical device space, specializing in quality assurance solutions for radiation therapy. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping innovative QA products that support safer, more precise cancer treatments.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in software quality assurance and/or clinical experience in radiation oncology (such as medical physics or dosimetry).
This is a remote role with up to 25% travel. The salary range for this position is $140,000–$160,000.
Responsibilities
Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with customer needs and company goals.
Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on clinical impact, technical feasibility, and business value.
Analyze market trends, competitive offerings, and clinical innovations to identify new product opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering, clinical affairs, regulatory, marketing, and sales to ensure alignment on product goals and execution plans.
Serve as the voice of the customer and clinical user throughout the product development lifecycle.
Translate complex clinical workflows and requirements into well-defined product specs and user stories.
Act as the product owner in Agile ceremonies: grooming backlogs, clarifying requirements, accepting stories, and prioritizing sprints.
Own feature-level quality by working closely with software QA engineers to define test strategies, edge cases, and risk mitigation plans.
Leverage your understanding of the radiation therapy treatment process to drive QA-focused product decisions.
Work closely with physicists and dosimetrists to validate use cases, uncover pain points, and test clinical relevance.
Support the QA process by defining test scenarios, reviewing verification/validation results, and ensuring product safety and accuracy.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or a related software product role.
Prior experience in software QA (manual or automated testing, test planning, defect tracking, etc.).
Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies.
Excellent communication skills for working across technical and clinical teams.
Proven track record of successfully transitioning projects to manufacturing
Preferred
Background as a Medical Physicist, Dosimetrist, or experience working in a radiation oncology environment.
Familiarity with treatment planning systems (TPS), QA software, and devices used in radiation therapy (e.g., phantoms, detectors, linac systems).
Experience developing regulated medical device software or working under ISO 13485 / IEC 62304 frameworks.
Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
