Airbnb’s mission is to create a world where people can Belong Anywhere. As we grow to achieve that mission, we’re looking to add a technical, hands-on, and mission-driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to our Marketing Technology team.

This role partners with our Product, Design, Creative, Marketing and Marketing Technology organizations across multiple dimensions.  Our Marketing Technology team is focused on building the best-in-class platform and internal tooling to enable marketing and product teams at Airbnb to deliver no-code vehicles, and the associated delivery infrastructure.   For launch marketing campaigns, we customize the entry experience for our guests and hosts, and a person in this role will lead collaboration on custom built pages .  This is a key role and requires a self-starter with strong experience in organization, communication and execution of marketing needs.

You will have an opportunity to impact every person who travels or hosts on Airbnb. This role is deeply cross-organization, as successful project delivery is done with close collaboration with product, design, engineering, and marketing. Building positive relationships across a multitude of cross functional teams will be essential to the success of this leader. You will operate as an individual contributor and a cross-functional leader.

The mission is to enable both marketing and product teams to effectively deliver highly personalized and relevant marketing campaigns to the Airbnb community.

The Marketing Technology team spans five pillars:

1. Paid and performance platform that powers offsite advertising on search and display Ad networks
2. Content platform that enables teams across Airbnb to launch marketing content both onsite and offsite
3. Communications and delivery infrastructure that enables promotional and transactional content delivery at scale across multiple offline channels (e.g. email, push, sms)
4. Machine learning platform that enables optimizations and personalization
5. Data platform that powers measurement and attribution.

A Typical Day:

• Drive initiatives that maximize performance, stability, and efficiency across growth initiatives. As a TPM, you will work closely with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to deliver on critical programs that empower teams to iterate quickly.
• Increase team productivity by removing obstacles and keeping processes lean.
• Maintain urgency by ensuring there is strong collaboration within multiple parts of the organization who may have competing priorities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, and find new ways of operating, with a focus on simplification and productivity.
• Provide roadmap and program updates to ensure leaders are aware of delivery risks and opportunities
• Drive accountability and ownership in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex technical integrations requiring data informed decision making.
• Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions. You can take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line.
• Self-motivated, proactive and proven ability to adapt well and work with teams having different operating cadences.
• Experience developing lean processes, and demonstrated flexibility to get things done.
• Detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical expertise and problem solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issues.
• Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment where communication with multiple groups is imperative.
• Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.
• Excellent written and oral business communication and people skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• BA/BS degree, 9+ years technical project management or relevant experience

Your Location:

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

Pay Range

$194,000—$242,000 USD
