At Dev Technology, we’re looking for a seasoned Project Manager who excels in fast-paced environments, leads with authenticity, and brings clarity to complexity. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, manage a variety of mission-critical projects, and help shape the future of government technology.
This is a hybrid position requiring 1 day per month in our Herndon, VA office.
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, technical fluency, a service-oriented mindset, and a desire to make a real difference by supporting mission-critical software delivery.
You will be overseeing all aspects of project management and delivery, including:
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
- Support Requirements Definition, Security, Data, and DevOps groups
- Manage multiple small teams (6-8 personnel total)
- Conduct people management duties such as performance reviews
- Oversee initiatives from inception to completion
- Create and manage delivery schedules and release plans
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Track and resolve program-level issues and impediments
- Facilitate collaboration across internal teams, partners, and various stakeholders
- Participate in program-level communication and reporting
- Translate complex technical topics for both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leading and delivering Java based software development projects
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and customer needs
- Strong communication skills to facilitate alignment across stakeholders
- Adept at building trust and transparency with both clients and internal teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or portfolios in dynamic environments
- Must have experience providing project management in the government contracting services space and dealing with a variety of stakeholders at various levels of project engagement.
- Proven ability to lead Agile projects through the full software development lifecycle
- Strong interpersonal skills; excels at building trust with clients and team members
- Experience with Agile collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence or similar
- Ability to prioritize team success over individual recognition
- Fast learner with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new business areas
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Certifications such as PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent
