Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, senior-level Technology Strategy Consultant to partner closely with our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), in shaping the strategic direction of our technology initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with experience at the head or executive level of technology management in a fast-growth or startup environment. You will lead efforts to design scalable technology systems, evaluate emerging technologies, and implement a robust tech stack that aligns with our business goals.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision & Roadmap Development:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to define and execute the technology vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and long-term goals.
- Lead the strategic planning process for technology initiatives that drive innovation and growth across the company.
Technology Evaluation & Architecture Design:
- Conduct an in-depth evaluation of emerging technologies and their potential to positively impact the business.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and robust software architecture that supports current and future business needs, ensuring future-proof infrastructure.
Tech Stack Optimization & Innovation:
- Guide the company in selecting and optimizing the right technology stack for our product offerings and internal business operations, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Foster a culture of innovation, ensuring that we remain ahead of the curve in adopting relevant new technologies.
Data Management & Security Leadership:
- Develop and implement cutting-edge data management strategies to safeguard sensitive information.
- Ensure comprehensive security measures are in place and that the company complies with necessary data protection regulations.
Platform Integration & Scalability:
- Drive the integration of our platform with business partners and build scalable, high-performance infrastructure to support an expanding network of partners and end-users.
- Design and implement systems capable of handling rapid business growth and evolving operational requirements.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in senior technology roles (e.g., Head of Technology, Senior Technology Strategy Lead) with a demonstrated track record of driving tech strategy, architecture, and execution.
- Proven leadership in designing and scaling software architectures, with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, tech stacks, and system integration.
- Expertise in evaluating emerging technologies, making high-level decisions about their integration into business operations.
- Strong experience in data management, security protocols, and compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with leadership teams to align technical initiatives with broader business goals.
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills—able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in fast-growing startups or organizations focused on innovation and scalable technology solutions.
- Experience with or knowledge of the social-impact, education, faith-based or sustainable business practices is a plus.
Equity-Based Compensation Opportunity:
As part of the SOULCHI team, you’ll take part in our equity-based compensation model, aligning your success with the success of our business. After much research we have found the fairest equity model for a startup. We use the Slicing Pie model. First phase is equity-based only, which we are currently in. Equity calculations move dynamically based on your fair market rate and actual number of hours worked. In the second phase, which happens at the break-even point, the equity freezes at each member’s current earned percentage and compensation switches to salary + benefits. Your equity percentage gets paid out annually as part of the profit sharing. This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to own a piece of the future.
