Job Description
The Thought Leadership and Executive Communications Senior Manager develops and executes comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the company’s reputation, increase brand awareness, and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our Thought Leadership Programs and Executive Communications Initiatives.
The Thought Leadership and Executive Communications Senior Manager is a strong communicator and self-motivated with a strong work ethic as well as a passion for storytelling. In addition, the Thought Leadership and Executive Communications Senior Manager will follow news trends and think creatively about new ways to engage with the global organizations and elevate our message. This person will have deep messaging experience and play a crucial role in shaping how the Turnitin brand shows up in both education and top-tier media.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft compelling messaging, managing external communications, and ensuring consistent and effective communication aligned with the organization’s goals and values
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to our CLT, and help deliver their communications to the company and their individual teams
- Develop and implement a thought leadership strategy to establish the organization as an industry leader
- Support strategic planning and execution for all external communications efforts
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, and coming up with appropriate solutions
- Broad press and social media relationships Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organized self-starter with high attention to detail
- Highly skilled at building relationships with target media outlets and journalists
- Ability to report results and share deliverables with company leaders, key stakeholders and communications partners/agencies
- 15+ years of related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in the education technology sector
- BA or BS—or equivalent degree
Additional Information
The expected annual base salary range for this position is: $111,000/year to $185,000/year. This position is bonus eligible / commission-based.
As a Remote-First company, actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if extended, and is determined by work location and a range of other relevant factors, including but not limited to: experience, skills, degrees, licensures, certifications, and other job-related factors. Internal equity, market and organizational factors are also considered.
