We work directly with different industries including Automotive, Energy, Aeronautics, Banking & Insurance, Telecom & Multimedia, and Rail; offering services ranging from project design development to test/validation, programming, implementation, and manufacturing.
ALTEN Mexico as a subsidiary of the ALTEN Group. Currently working with international clients, and we are looking for a Thermal Systems Engineer who will contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution, as a system-level specialist for cold-weather, heater, pump, insulation, and thermal-performance issues.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess cold-weather operating and storage requirements, snow/ice effects, and self-draining concepts.
- Evaluate heater and pump alternatives, thermal performance, duty cycles, isolation needs, and failure modes.
- Coordinate thermal analysis with CFD, mechanical, electrical, materials, and validation teams.
- Define thermal verification methods and review empirical test results supplied by the customer or vendor.
- Develop recommendations balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and revalidation impact.
Must‑Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of thermal systems, thermal analysis, HVAC, energy systems, battery systems, or fluid-system engineering experience.
Strong fundamentals in thermal requirements, heat transfer, cold-weather design, freeze protection, heaters, pumps, insulation, and thermal interfaces. Thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and test correlation.
- Steady-state and transient thermal analysis using hand calculations, 1D models, or 3D tools as appropriate.
Experience with heaters, pumps, cold-weather performance, or temperature-controlled products preferred.
English level B2–C1.
