Role: Regional Payroll Manager, East

We are excited to bring on a Regional Manager who will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations for the East Coast subsidiaries. We will look to you to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as overall process improvement. You will report into the Director of Payroll, provide leadership to the regional payroll team and work collaboratively with Payroll teammates across the country. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for the region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Adherence to Payroll Policies: Review payroll procedures and provide guidance to employees and payroll team on the specifics of those policies.ย  Ensure policies are up to date as changes are needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor the regional payroll team, providing guidance and support.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present payroll reports to the Payroll Director and other stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related issues and discrepancies and work closely with the HR department.
  • System Management: Maintain and optimize payroll systems and software and work with Payroll Director and team on issue resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and assist with implementation of process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equal relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in a regional or multi-location setting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software, excellent organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills and comfortable with Excel.
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Federal and State Labor Laws).
  • Strong communication skills
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.

Estimated Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 depending on experience.
