Overview

Block is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, results oriented Account Executive to join our Sales team. Your primary responsibilities will be prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new business - homeowners coming to Block for a better way to improve the spaces they live in. You will bring a strong consultative approach to engaging prospective customers to understand their goals and tailor Block’s offerings to meet their specific renovation needs.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Source qualified contractors through directories, referrals, events, and online platforms
  • Run outreach campaigns across calls, emails, and social media
  • Build and manage a recruitment pipeline, tracking progress and conversion metrics
  • Deliver compelling presentations on the value of Block’s platform
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly recruitment and conversion goals

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in sales (SDR, BDR, AE), business development, recruiting, or a related field
  • Comfort with high-volume outreach (calls, emails, social)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Bonus: experience in construction, home services, or contractor networks

Block wants all employees to be supported in their personal and professional development, so we take a comprehensive approach to compensation and benefits. The initial salary for this position is expected to range from $90,000 to $110,000 for a NY-based or remote position. Actual compensation will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
