Job description
We are looking for a Regional Senior Manager to lead and scale our Groceries & Retail vertical across seven countries. This is a high-impact commercial leadership role with full ownership of sales growth, partner acquisition and merchant success.
With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it’s all thanks to our people.
We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.
Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!
In most of these markets, we are still the challenger, which makes the opportunity immense. To capture it, we need a leader who is well-connected, execution-driven and hands-on: someone who can quickly bring top grocers and retailers onto the platform, build scalable local playbooks and accelerate growth through relentless commercial drive.
This is not a strategy-only desk role. We’re looking for someone who has built, sold, launched, and negotiated, a doer as much as a leader. You will manage a regional team of 7–10 people and work across multiple markets to close deals, expand partnerships, and turn this vertical into a true growth engine.
Set and own the strategy for Groceries & Retail across 7 markets (e.g., Baltics, CEE, etc). Define and deliver commercial, growth, and operational targets (e.g., order volume, retention, basket size, delivery time). Build and expand our partner network - from top grocery chains (e.g., Schwarz Group, Carrefour, Auchan, Jerónimo Martins, Continente), beauty and personal care chains (DM, Rossmann, Sephora, Wells etc), Pharma (Benu, Dr Max) to niche retailers - ensuring selection, pricing, and operational excellence. Own the regional P&L, with clear accountability on ROI, margins and partner unit economics Drive cross-functional execution with ops, marketing, finance, and product to optimize the full customer journey Represent the region in global strategic planning sessions, ensuring strong alignment with central priorities while advocating for local needs Personally lead strategic negotiations with key regional accounts and unblock local challenges when needed
You bring 6+ years of experience in high-performance, fast-paced environments and have successfully scaled teams across multiple countries or regions. You own and drive regional or multi-market P&Ls, translating strategy into execution with clear accountability for results. You have a strong B2B or merchant-facing background, building and sustaining long-term commercial partnerships at senior levels. You demonstrate strategic and analytical acumen, using data to set vision, design roadmaps, and make informed decisions. You lead hands-on, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, negotiating effectively, and supporting frontline teams when needed. You thrive in ambiguity with an adaptable, entrepreneurial mindset, valuing diversity, empathy, and collaboration while leading by example.
Experience is great, but we also look for drive, intelligence, and integrity. So, even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying if you feel you’re the kind of person described above!
