Job Description
Your contribution to something big
We are looking for an experienced Accountant, with a strong background in General Accounting, to join our Finance Department and manage tax, reporting, and financial accounting functions.
- Calculation and submission of various tax declarations to the Tax Authorities (VAT, Intrastat, Intercompany transactions, Corporate Income Tax, Stamp Duty, Withholding Taxes etc.)
- Calculation and submission of recycling declarations.
- Responsible for the accurate calculation, review, and booking of all accounting provisions within the system.
- Contribute to “MY DATA” related activities, to ensure accurate and timely submission of data and perform regular reconciliations with the General Ledger .
- Participate in the preparation of the company’s financial statements
- Collaborate with external Auditors during the statutory audit process.
- Gather tax-related data and collaborate with auditors to ensure the timely issuance of the annual Tax Certificate
- Oversee and manage the Fixed Assets Register.
- Record payroll journal entries and perform reconciliations with the General Ledger
- Actively participate in the transition and implementation of the new SAP4H system.
Qualifications
What distinguishes you
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
- 6+ years of experience in a General Accounting role.
- Excellent knowledge of tax legislation of C’ category books
- Computer literacy with strong Excel knowledge
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Experience with the MY DATA platform
- Fluency in Greek & English
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Integrity, motivation, and a pro-active attitude
