What You’ll Do (Your Role & Responsibilities)
As a Cloud & DevOps Intern, you will be an active member of our team, learning and contributing to a wide range of activities. You will have the opportunity to:
- Learn to Automate Cloud Infrastructure: Work alongside senior engineers to provision and manage Azure resources (like VMs, storage, and networking) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Bicep and Terraform.
- Build and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Help design, build, and maintain our CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to automate the testing and deployment of our applications and infrastructure.
- Support Hybrid Cloud Integrations: Assist in managing the connectivity and data flow between our Azure cloud environment and on-premises systems.
- Embrace a Security-First Mindset: Learn to implement security controls and best practices, ensuring our cloud resources are secure and compliant with company policies.
- Develop Problem-Solving Skills: Participate in investigating and resolving technical incidents, learning how to perform root cause analysis in a production environment.
- Contribute to System Monitoring: Gain experience with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track the health and performance of our cloud infrastructure.
- Automate Everything: Develop and maintain scripts (using PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate routine operational tasks and deployments.

What We’re Looking For (Your Skills)
We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundational understanding of cloud and software development principles, and most importantly, a deep curiosity and eagerness to learn. We value hands-on experience from your personal or academic projects over years of professional experience.

Core Requirements:
- Foundational Cloud Knowledge: A solid understanding of core cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Familiarity with fundamental Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, App Service, Blob Storage, Virtual Networks) is a strong plus.
- Understanding of CI/CD Concepts: You have built or managed automated pipelines (using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) to test and deploy applications for a personal or academic project.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): You have some experience provisioning cloud infrastructure through code using tools like Terraform or Bicep, demonstrated through your projects.
- Passion for AI in Development: An interest in leveraging modern AI tools to enhance the development process. This could include experience using AI code assistants (like GitHub Copilot) or an enthusiasm for exploring emerging concepts like agentic coding to build and manage infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Git: You are comfortable with version control and have used Git for branching, committing, and creating pull requests.
- Basic Scripting Skills: Familiarity with a scripting language like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating tasks.
- Operating System Fundamentals: A basic understanding of both Windows and Linux server administration.
Nice to Have (or Eager to Learn!)
- An interest in cloud security (DevSecOps), including concepts like secrets management (Azure Key Vault) and vulnerability scanning.
- Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies.
