Looking for a DWH Developer / Database Developer for a database migration and monitoring engagement for a Formula One team.
Responsibilities
- Setup new production database monitoring across our on prem estate using open source tools (to replace Datadog which we are not renewing)
- Migrate our databases currently running on Kubernetes (PostgreSQL + MongoDB) to AWS and/or on prem servers
- Develop and enforce database development standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Lead the design and implementation of data models, database schemas, and data integration solutions
- Perform database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architectures, processes, and procedures
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior database administrators and developers
- Provide peer review on all DB modifications (Schema, Data, SPROCs, Execution Plans, etc.)
- Participate in Emergency Remediation
- Proactive identification and resolution of DB issues concerning performance, scale, data integrity
Requirements
- SQL Server Expert (5 years+)
- MongoDB
- PostgreSQL
- AWS
- Always On Availability Groups
- Extensive experience in setting up monitoring/alerting services
