Growth Content Writer

🇺🇸 United States - Remote
📝 Writing🔵 Mid-level

Job description

At BusRight, we believe that safe, efficient, and reliable transportation is the key to unlocking educational opportunities for every child. As our first Growth Content Writer, you’ll help shape how we tell our story by creating high-impact, human-centered content that brings our mission and vision to life.

As BusRight’s Growth Content Writer, you’ll craft the copy that fuels our demand generation efforts, from outbound email cadences and customer newsletters to case studies and event-driven communications. You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Experience teams to ensure BusRight’s messaging is polished, measurable, and aligned to pipeline impact. This is an ideal role for an experienced Growth Content Writer with exceptional attention to detail, who wants to grow within a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to write content that directly influences revenue outcomes while building the foundation of BusRight’s marketing function. Compensation is competitive and flexible based on experience. You’ll work closely with your department teammates, including Natashia (Senior Events Coordinator), and report directly to Abby (Senior Marketing Lead).

A Bit About BusRight

BusRight is a fast-growing mobility startup with a team of 60+, serving over 100,000 users, including Transportation Directors, Drivers, and Parents, across 35 states. Our technology provides dynamic routing, real-time fleet tracking, parent communication, and operational tools that increase safety and reduce costs for the nation’s largest mass transit network, school buses.

We’re backed by top-tier investors (e.g., Founders of Quizlet, Kayak, & Wayfair), combining a mission-driven mindset with the grit of a startup. Every BusRighter has an outsized impact, and we’re looking for people who are excited to build, lead, and grow alongside us.

We’re a remote team with hubs in New York City, Boston, and Austin. To get a feel for the team and culture, check out our company retreat in Mexico, this BusRight commercial, and how we approach school bus conferences.

Responsibilities & Outcomes

  • Launch a closed-lost email cadence achieving 25%+ open rates and 10%+ reply rates, designed to nurture opportunities back into the pipeline.
  • Refresh all outbound prospecting cadence templates with high-converting, on-brand messaging tailored to Transportation Directors and district stakeholders.
  • Draft 5 customer case studies/white papers in the first 6 months that highlight measurable outcomes with BusRight, incorporating quotes, metrics, and strong visuals.
  • Refresh BusRight’s flagship one-pager for the Sales team to leverage during conferences and on-site meetings.
  • Manage bi-weekly product update emails to customers, ensuring clarity, consistency, and measurable engagement.
  • Create and manage BusRight’s monthly industry update newsletter (7,000+ recipients).
  • Architect templated email frameworks for all event-driven communications, including webinar invites, in-person event promotions, conference follow-ups, and customer facing product announcements.

A Day in the Life

  • Start your morning reviewing draft newsletters and campaign performance with the Senior Marketing Lead.
  • Collaborate with Sales to refine outbound cadence copy and tailor messaging for Transportation Directors and key district stakeholders.
  • Jump into a call with the Senior Events Coordinator to finalize webinar invites, in-person event promotions, and conference follow-up cadences.
  • Spend part of your afternoon drafting a customer case study, gathering quotes and metrics from the Customer Experience team to highlight measurable outcomes.
  • Close the day by refreshing templates or finalizing copy for product updates, ensuring every message is clear, on-brand, and tied to pipeline outcomes.

Why This Role Matters

By creating a culture and company that prioritizes how we make people feel vs. strictly what we make, you’ll have a tangible impact by:

  • Ensuring every prospect and customer-facing written communication is polished, measurable, and tied directly to pipeline outcomes, resulting in higher demo booking rates and more efficient sales cycles.
  • Equipping Sales with high-quality case studies, one-pagers, and collateral that accelerate trust and shorten the path from first meeting to BusRight partner.
  • Strengthening customer relationships through bi-weekly product updates and monthly newsletters that keep stakeholders engaged, informed, and connected to BusRight’s mission.

At BusRight, you’ll craft the stories and communications that move districts to take action. This is your chance to shape the brand of a company transforming how millions of kids get to school…let’s build something unforgettable together.
