The successful candidate will be proactive, people-oriented, business-minded, and able to integrate themselves seamlessly into existing and emerging True North Insights compliance processes and procedures. The candidate will leverage strong analytical thinking and regulatory reporting skills to ensure appropriate, risk-based application of compliance to ensure smooth business operations with Clients and Experts. The successful candidate will also be able to effectively build out our compliance processes and operations and communicate our compliance framework to True North Insights employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities
You will be the main point of contact between clients and experts, taking ownership of projects and ensuring reliable, high-quality results across multiple projects daily.
- Serve as a trusted compliance advisor, providing guidance on expert engagements, client requests, due diligence matters, and regulatory inquiries.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial and compliance-related agreements, balancing business objectives with risk management considerations.
- Review and approve research requests, expert consultations, and business activities in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and client-specific guidelines.
- Lead compliance, due diligence, data privacy, and information security reviews during client onboarding and ongoing client engagements.
- Identify, assess, and escalate compliance risks while developing practical, business-oriented solutions in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Enhance compliance programs, processes, controls, training, and reporting to support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business growth.
About You
- A business-minded compliance professional who can balance risk management with commercial objectives.
- Comfortable making independent decisions and exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to assess complex situations and deliver practical solutions.
- An effective communicator who can build credibility with clients and internal stakeholders alike.
- Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and discretion.
- A collaborative self-starter with excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in Compliance, Risk, Legal, Contract Management, Financial Services, Consulting, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.
- Familiarity with due diligence, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations, including GDPR, is preferred.
- Experience in a regulated, client-facing, or professional services environment is a strong advantage.
