This role requires strong writing skills, precision in standards alignment, and the ability to translate academic and regulatory requirements into clear, engaging instructional materials.

In addition, the Curriculum Specialist supports faculty-related processes, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional learning, to ensure strong alignment between curriculum design and instructional delivery.

What You’ll Do:

Curriculum Design & Development

  • Maintain version control and documentation of curriculum updates and revisions.

  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Manager or Director to prioritize and implement curriculum improvements.

Standards Alignment & Mapping

  • Develop and maintain detailed standards alignment matrices linking curriculum to state, national, and accreditation standards.

  • Ensure all curriculum components are explicitly aligned to required competencies and standards.

  • Conduct gap analyses to identify missing or underrepresented standards.

  • Update curriculum to reflect changes in standards, frameworks, and regulatory expectations.

Accreditation & Regulatory Writing

  • Draft and revise accreditation documentation, including:

  • Standards alignment narratives

  • Evidence-based justifications

  • Program descriptions and curricular explanations

  • Support state approval and accreditation submissions (e.g., CAEP, state DOE, DEAC).

  • Ensure curriculum artifacts meet documentation and audit expectations for regulatory review.

  • Translate curriculum design into clear, defensible language for reviewers and accrediting bodies.

Instructional Materials & Platform Implementation

  • Prepare curriculum for implementation within learning management systems (LMS) or proprietary platforms.

  • Ensure consistency in formatting, clarity, and usability of all instructional materials.

  • Collaborate with instructional designers and platform teams to ensure accurate course builds.

  • Review courses post-build to ensure fidelity to curriculum design.

  • Teach a minimum of two cohorts per year.

Faculty Support, Hiring & Professional Learning

  • Support faculty hiring processes as needed, including reviewing candidate qualifications and participating in interviews.

  • Lead and/or support faculty onboarding to ensure clear understanding of curriculum, instructional expectations, and assessment practices.

  • Assist in facilitating faculty meetings, ensuring alignment between instructional delivery and curriculum expectations.

  • Design, implement, and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for faculty focused on instructional improvement, curriculum alignment, and candidate outcomes.

  • Collaborate with academic leadership to identify faculty development needs and contribute to training initiatives aligned to program goals and accreditation expectations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with faculty, subject matter experts (SMEs), and academic leadership to refine curriculum.

  • Incorporate SME feedback into curriculum revisions while maintaining alignment and rigor.

  • Support faculty by clarifying assignment expectations, rubrics, and instructional intent.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., admissions, marketing, clinical practice teams) as needed to ensure alignment between curriculum and program messaging.

Colibri Group welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and experiences, and we understand that not every candidate will meet every requirement listed in the job description. Research has shown that women and people of color may be less likely to apply to jobs unless they feel they meet every qualification, and we want to actively combat this bias in our hiring process. If you’re excited about the role and believe you have the skills and experience to contribute to our team, we encourage you to apply, even if your background doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification listed. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we believe that diversity of perspectives and experiences is essential to our success. You may be just the right candidate for this role or another position within our organization. Don’t hesitate to take the leap and apply today!

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
