Job Description
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Controlling Analyst performs financial analysis and standard reporting activities on their area of responsibility, including Planning, Forecast and Actual Reporting, with focus on operational controlling.
- Provides support to the pricing team with cost information for the development of product prices
- Prepares quarterly product cost information based on current material prices
- Assists in month-end closing, and prepares journal entries as necessary
- Collaborates with the manufacturing and engineering teams to calculate cost savings opportunities and tracking of actual savings
- Supports the forecast and budgeting processes in the plant
- Establishes & updates standard cost at year-end
- Performs product costing activities
- Supports the plant leadership team with actual, budget, and forecast cost center reporting and variance analysis
- Analyze cost variations related to material consumption, material price, freight, labor, and scrap
- Supports Plant Auburn as well as Plant Controller in Plant Mount Pleasant and requires travel between locations Auburn, Indiana and Mount Pleasant, Iowa
- Prepares feedback for Ad-hoc requests from Sector, BA, and Plant
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field
- 2 years experience in Finance and/or Controlling
- Experience in Product Costing
- Advanced SAP systems knowledge
- Advanced MS Office Package knowledge
- Strong understanding of finance/accounting principles
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately across different cultures
- Strong ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Able to travel at least 10% of the time between Auburn, IN and Mt. Pleasant, IA
- Visa Sponsorship for Continental employees only
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- Preferred knowledge of automation tools e.g. Power BI, Knime, etc.
- Experience within a production environment.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $72,930.00 - $85,800.00 a year if hired with 0-2 years of experience. The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,290.00 - 107,400.00 a year if hired with 3+ years of experience.
