Bits AI for Security is our AI agent that leverages LLMs to help analysts investigate alerts, understand threats, and respond faster. We’re looking for a product-minded AI Engineer to help us build the next generation of AI-driven security capabilities.

What You’ll Do:
Work closely with users, security experts, PMs, and data scientists on cutting edge AI agents that drive real value for our customers.
Develop tools, retrieval and planning strategies, and guardrails; manage prompts/evals; design fallbacks and human‑in‑the‑loop paths.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and partner teams to build cohesive experiences.
Prototype and see what works well, iterate closely with our users and experts, and then ship.
Follow the latest research on GenAI and AI agents.
Who You Are:
- You have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related scientific field or equivalent experience.
- You’re a backend engineer with at least 4 years of professional experience (Go, Python, Java, etc.) who values code simplicity and performance.
- You have relevant work experience with LLMs, large-scale systems, machine learning, or adjacent fields. You’ve shipped software that uses LLMs to production.
- You want to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment that values its engineers.
- You are a good communicator and can drive hard technical conversations towards a pragmatic solution.
Bonus Point:
- Excited to work in the security domain, with an understanding of how analysts investigate threats and alerts.
- Fluency with offline/online evals for AI systems; can build reliable golden sets and automatic regressions.
- Experience scaling products in a high-growth SaaS environment.
