Job Description
At Duetti, data is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with experience in DevOps and full-stack development to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the infrastructure that powers our data-driven initiatives, supporting cloud deployment, and enhancing the developer experience. Your expertise will contribute to building scalable and robust systems, enabling efficient deployment, monitoring, and management of our applications.
As a Backend Developer at Duetti, you will collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and implement high-quality solutions. We provide our engineers with the platform to enhance their skills and grow in their careers.
We are looking for a talented individual with strong back-end development skills, experience in cloud technologies, and a good understanding of scalable infrastructure systems. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python is essential. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, are required. A problem-solving mindset, the ability to work collaboratively, and a passion for building efficient and scalable systems are key qualities for success in this role.

You Will:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust back-end systems to support data processing, analysis, and API services.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to integrate server-side logic with user-facing elements.
- Design and implement secure, scalable APIs to facilitate communication between services.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of our cloud-based architecture, ensuring reliable and secure operations.
- Implement cloud-based services and technologies to support efficient data processing and storage.
- Work with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, to ensure scalability and flexibility.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and debug infrastructure-related issues, providing timely resolution and ensuring smooth system operations.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implement high-quality solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, API design, and infrastructure development, proposing innovative solutions to enhance our systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Backend Developer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure.
- Strong experience in API design and implementation, ensuring security and scalability.
- Proficiency in back-end programming languages such as Python, and experience with full-stack development is a plus.
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture and best practices for infrastructure and API development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, and experience with cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS).
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
