Within our offices in London, Chester, Los Angeles and Europe, Equals comprises of three business lines and brands - Equals Money, FairFX and CardOneMoney. You will join a very close-knit, talented and supportive team from various backgrounds who believe that bringing different perspectives together helps us understand our customers’ needs. United, by one thing, making money management straightforward and cost-effective for our customers.

About the Role

As a Payments Specialist at Equals Group you will be working as part of a dedicated team to help support the international payment services that we provide to our customers. The role will involve ensuring all customer funds are promptly and accurately reconciled and processed through the various banks and counterparties that the group works with, as well as supporting the various customer facing teams internally within the business.

Responsibilities

● Managing payment queries.

o Setting up new beneficiary details

o Investigating incorrect beneficiary details

o Investigating Return of Funds

o Starting and managing payment traces, recalls and amendments

● Work cooperatively with peers and other departments, always keeping appropriate individuals informed

● Ensuring that processes and procedures relating to payment investigations are adhered to

● Conducting root cause analysis and providing ongoing recommendations / solutions to improve processes and efficiencies, such as payment returns

● Undertaking any other reasonable duties / projects which may be required from time to time

Essential Skills

● Experience in banking/payments or related financial services environment

● Comfortable in a technical environment and quick to learn new systems/platforms

● Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

● Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage detailed processes

● Tertiary qualification preferred
