Job Description
Join a dynamic and rapidly expanding team as a Technology Risk Officer, where you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the security and resilience of our global operations. In this high‑visibility role, you will help shape the way Eurofins manages technology and cybersecurity risks, collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, influence decision‑making, and contribute to strategic initiatives across the EMEA region.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to engage in various projects such as phishing campaigns and IT risk resilience tests as part of your daily responsibilities.
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS:
- Independently designing, planning, and executing projects across various areas of activity
- Executing IT risk and audit assessments in accordance with professional standards and making relevant recommendations to initiate risk reduction at all levels of the Eurofins network of companies
- Acting as a trusted advisor by providing actionable insights, risk‑based recommendations, and expert guidance to IT and business leaders
- Supporting the development and improvement of new and existing internal IT risk assessment methodologies
- Producing clear and high-quality technical and non-technical reports to formally communicate results
- Monitoring the progress of strategic plans and following up with collaborators where necessary
- Cultivating and maintaining professional relationships with internal stakeholders and partners
- Verbally communicating results in a clear, professional, and problem-solving manner
Qualifications
Personal skills:
- The ideal candidate will be a confident, self-motivated individual with an ability to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment
- Strong emotional intelligence with demonstrated leadership in a large organisation involving multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey security and risk-related information to technical and non-technical audiences in English.
Technical Skills:
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of risk management and/or IT audit processes.
- Broad experience with IT processes, IT development and/or cyber/information security controls.
- A strong technical background in cybersecurity/information technology in an environment where the business process is dependent on technology.
- Basic technical understanding of network infrastructure design, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR.
- General understanding of UK/EU Data Protection Regulations, NIS2 Directive and other relevant regulations desirable.
- Hands‑on experience with modern cybersecurity tools, risk frameworks, and control standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
- Ability to assess technical environments and understand the implications of vulnerabilities, threats, and non‑compliance.
Education and/or experience:
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or another relevant field.
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in a cybersecurity, information security or related IT Control Functions role.
- Professional certifications (CISA, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or similar) are highly desirable.
- Experience collaborating in international organisations or matrix environments is advantageous.
- Candidates with passion for cybersecurity and technology risk—even those with backgrounds in alternaive but adjacent fields—are encouraged to apply.
